QUALITY PROGRAM: SERVIZI INNOVATIVI PER LE IMPRESE
Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs is a cross-border exchange programme which gives new or aspiring entrepreneurs the chance to learn from experienced entrepreneurs running small businesses in other European Union countries.
The IPA Adriatic Cross-border Cooperation Programme is the result of joint programming work carried out by the relevant participating countries and is part of the cooperation process in the Adriatic area. The Programme draws its strength and incisiveness from the wide experience, gained during the previous Programme period producing concrete results from the studies and analysis financed in the past.
European research and innovation efforts are set to receive a significant increase in funding with the announcement of the largest set of calls for proposals ever under the EU's Seventh Framework Programme (FP7). Worth a total of EUR 8.1 billion, projects funded by these calls are open to organisations and businesses in all EU Member States, FP7 partner states and specifically eligible countries.
In order to maintain Europe’s leadership in the world tourism industry there is a need to modernise the European tourism policy and offer. Diversifying European tourism products, capitalising on common and rich heritage (natural, cultural, historical, etc.), is the first of the key priorities identified to boost the competitiveness of the European tourism industry in the latest Communication on tourism, “Europe, the world’s No 1 tourist destination – a new political framework for tourism in Europe” (COM(2010) 352 final), adopted by the Commission on 30 June 2010.
In this respect, cultural heritage represents a European competitive advantage and cultural tourism couldn't be other than the most appropriate starting point for differentiating our tourism offer. An important "niche" market of transnational thematic tourism products and services (e.g. cultural routes crossing several regions or countries) has remained unaddressed and has great potential for growth. Our common European cultural heritage and core values can be more widely promoted and its tourism potential could be further developed at EU level.
Believing that in the "niche" market of cultural tourism there is a lot of potential for growth, and believing that EU action could really add value to national, regional and local policies in this field, the overall objective of the present call for proposals is twofold:
As the flagship European Funding programme in the field of education and training, the Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP) enables individuals at all stages of their lives to pursue stimulating learning opportunities across Europe. It is an umbrella programme integrating various educational and training initiatives. LLP is divided in four sectorial sub programmes and four so called 'transversal' programmes.
The Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency is responsible for the implementation of the centralised Actions of the Lifelong learning Programme. It is in charge of the complete life cycle of these projects, from analysing the grant request to monitoring projects on the spot. It is also responsible for launching the specific calls for proposals.
